8 – Balancing the Energy

This movement is highly effective for balancing, conditioning, and optimizing the flow of energy throughout the body. It promotes circulation, aids in recovery from fatigue, and revitalizes both the body and spirit.

Particularly beneficial for spinal health and the nervous system, this movement also enhances overall balance. It refreshes and regenerates the internal organs while strengthening the calves and legs and stretching and lengthening the Achilles tendons and spine.

Additionally, this practice stimulates the key convergence points of three Yin and three Yang channels located on the foot, positively influencing various organs and assisting in restoring the body to its original essence. It also activates the Du Mai meridian, often referred to as the ‘Sea of Yang,’ which serves as the root of yang energy within the body.

By rising up onto the toes, individuals stimulate the ‘Bubbling Spring’ point, known as Kidney 1. This point is considered a connection to the earth and is employed for calming and grounding both the mind and body.

Moreover, the gentle shaking vibrations generated by this movement “smooth out” the qi, especially following the practice of the preceding seven movements.
